Project Manager – Solid Surface Designs

Solid Surface Designs, Inc. seeks an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team.

Solid Surface Designs, Inc. has been fabricating and installing custom countertops for the Springfield, Branson and Joplin areas since 1993. Over the past 27 years we have grown to be the four-state area’s premier fabricator and installer of natural stone, engineered stone and solid surface countertops featuring product lines including Silestone®, Caesarstone®, DuPont™ Zodiac®, LG Viatera®, ONE Quartz®, as well as DuPont™ Corian®, LG HiMacs®, Wilsonart Solid Surface® and Livingstone®. Our 30,000 square foot fabrication facility is located west of Billings, MO on US highway 60. We service customers in Southeast Kansas, Northwest Arkansas, Northeast Oklahoma and Southwest and Central Missouri. The SSD team is committed to providing our customers the highest level of service and quality.

The Position


Title: Project Manager

Location: Billings, MO

Reports to: Project Management Team Leader

Project Managers directly oversee their projects from start to finish. Our primary objective of this position is to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

– Develop and maintain a strong business relationship with clients

– Prepare and present competitive sales quotes and follow up regularly until project is awarded

– Present and sell company services to current and future clients

– Follow up on new leads and referrals

– Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned

– Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and processes

– Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documents to prepare accurate estimates

– Template or measure cabinets and surfaces for countertop fabrication

– Prepare shop folder for programming, production and installation teams

The Candidate

– Two to five years previous sales or customer service experience is required. Experience in the stone or millwork industry is preferred.

– Must possess strong communication and collaboration skills

– Must have attention to detail and critical thinking abilities

– Experience in or knowledge of LEAN manufacturing is preferred

– Must maintain a ‪great attitude and work ethic

– Must be committed to quality assurance and customer satisfaction

– Should be available to work overtime and weekends when volume of work dictates

– Computer operation knowledge and experience is required
