Choosing The Correct Insulation For Each Job and Why It Matters

  • 3pm, HBA office. No charge to attend
  • Representatives from G5 Enterprises will be on hand to discuss the variety of different types of insulation and which type insulation is best for each situation.

August 9

Measuring Success by The Growth Coach

  • 3pm, HBA office, $29/person.
  • Measures of success are the criteria that we believe show the impact of our work. Without data on what is being accomplished by our deliberate actions, we have little or no foundation for decision-making or improvement.
  • The purpose of Measuring Success Workshop is to introduce the topic of how to measure success and the key metrics that business owners should be tracking.

August 23

 Insurance & Subcontractor Agreements

  • 3pm, HBA office, No charge to attend.
  • Terry Fortner (Fortner Insurance) and Jason Smith (Spencer Fane) will answer questions about what the certificates of insurance that you collect from subcontractors and suppliers should say and explain the importance and proper usage of subcontractor agreements.¬†

September 27

Fall Protection Training

  • 8am, HBA office.
  • No charge to attend. Invite your subcontractors to attend as well. Great training for framers, roofers, painters, siding installers, etc
  • To help you avoid costly fines and protect workers, the Job-Site Safety Institute (JSI) in partnership with National Association of Home Builders and the HBA of Greater Springfield is conducting a 4-hour Fall Prevention in Residential Construction Training seminar for builders, trade contractors, supervisors and workers.¬† This training program focuses on identifying fall hazards in residential construction, as well as, providing attendees an understanding of the OSHA fall protection regulations and safe work practices to prevent fall-related injuries and deaths.
