HBA Charitable Foundation Mixer at Tower Club September 17

The Home Builders Association Charitable Foundation Board of Directors has scheduled a membership & informational mixer at the Tower Club on September 17 at 4:30pm. The mixer will offer HBA members free hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and an introduction to the work done by the HBACF. Organizers of the event are not shy about sharing their goal in scheduling the mixer.
“We are a charitable foundation that won’t be asking anybody for money!” HBACF President Greg Adkins said. “What we really need are volunteers who have a passion for the work of our foundation: providing scholarships for young people entering the home building profession, and supporting the work of our partner organizations like Red Cross Disaster Relief, Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and others.”
A key component of the HBACF’s strategic plan (adopted earlier this year) is to broaden participation in, and leadership of the foundation. HBACF board members are reaching out to invite people they believe are good candidates to participate in the work of the foundation, but the event is by no means exclusive. HBA members who have an interest in learning more about the HBACF should plan to attend the September 17 mixer, and bring their questions. RSVP is requested for planning purposes (RSVP via E-mail here).
