Basics of Building – Presented by Thomas Stephani. Build your housing industry expertise by learning about the residential construction process from the ground up! Those in housing and construction-related fields, like vendors, suppliers, brokers, retailers, builder/remodeler company staff, REALTORs® and others will learn what it takes to build or remodel a home. This is one of two classes required to obtain your Certified Green Professional designation. Course cost is $210 for HBA members/ $260 for non-members and includes all course materials, breakfast and lunch.
November 6 & 7
Green Building for Building Professionals – Presented by Thomas Stephani. Implementing cost-effective green building into your construction practices begins with up-front planning that examines the whole house and the building science behind it. In this two-day course, you will learn how to apply green building practices in the construction of a new home, remodel, site development or multifamily project. With a focus on flexibility, a sound knowledge base and cost-effective solutions, the course provides the tools for a successful green project, including a review of the newly revised ICC 700-2012 National Green Building Standard®. Course cost is $395 for HBA members/$475 for non-members and includes all course materials, breakfast and lunch.
